National Volunteer Week Luncheon 2024

Mersey Community Care Association (MCCA) held our luncheon for our volunteers to celebrate National Volunteer Week on Friday 24 May 2024. This year, the 2 course luncheon was held at the Devonport Country Club.

This year’s theme of National Volunteer Week was “Something for Everyone", which we believe resonates with MCCA as there is something for everyone here, From driving clients to and from medical and social appointments, assisting on our Social Bus Trips, joining our home maintenance crew to mow a lawn or two, taking someone to get their groceries or visiting for a cuppa or a chat.

We would like to congratulate and acknowledge all of our volunteers for the wonderful contribution you have given to MCCA, and say a big thank you to the Devonport City Council for offering Volunteer Certificates of recognition for all of our volunteers.

Every year we recognise and celebrate the commitment our volunteers demonstrate by awarding those who have reached 5,10 and 15 years of service with a milestone award.

MCCA would also like to acknowledge and graciously thank local businesses, who kindly contributed to our raffle and lucky door prizes:
